The brand Boge is one of the brands of the German concern ZF Friedrichshafen AG, as well as the brands Sachs, Lemfoerder, TRW, and ZF Parts. Concern can be called one of the giants of the production of spare parts and the development of drive and suspension systems. Boge shock absorbers, as well as other parts produced by ZF Friedrichshafen AG, are supplied to the conveyors of automakers. This allowed the concern to earn 36.4 billion euros in 2017. ZF employs 146,000 people working in 230 branches in 40 countries.

About BOGE

The Boge range includes several series of shock absorbers. All shock absorbers are manufactured using a number of technologies. Firstly, all rods are induction hardened, chromed and micropolished. Secondly, the rod seals are specially shaped to reduce friction and have good high-temperature resistance characteristics. Thirdly, oil is used inside the shock absorbers which does not change its characteristics depending on temperature changes. Fourthly, the shape of the shock absorber valves and the materials used reduce wear characteristics and ensure stable damping force. The Automatic series is a replica of the shock absorbers that are installed on your car at the factory. They are available in both gas and hydraulic (i.e. oil) versions. They have different designs that are required for each specific model of car. They provide a comfortable ride, and their affordable price makes them very popular. Automatic hydraulic shock absorbers are designed for comfort fans and provide reliable damping on all road surfaces. In turn, gas shock absorbers are more suitable for those who like speed and control. Also the gas shock absorbers can be both two-tube and single-tube. Turbo series has a telling name. These are exclusively gas shock absorbers for those car owners who want to make their car more "charged". Can be made both with an extra side channel that changes the stiffness, and in a variant with more efficient performance settings. They can be single-tube or dual-tube. The Turbo 24 series used to be called the Extreme. This series features shock absorbers that can be installed on SUVs and sports cars. You can adjust them yourself by changing the position of the spring plate. Or use shock absorbers with a self-tuning spring element. The latter can react to the load by changing their own position.

Speed and power are nothing without precision and control. These take years to develop – we know, because they are in every BOGE shock absorber. With BOGE, you can provide shock absorbers with technical characteristics precisely tailored for the demanding requirements of the automotive industry; each one a perfect match for vehicle, axle type and spring design. This means you can give your customers improved steering performance and deliver the best possible safety.

Using high-quality materials, sophisticated machining processes and special technologies, we make shock absorbers that meet every challenge and always perform at the highest level. With BOGE, you can improve the performance of your business by providing shock absorbers that give a winning service every time. With our shock absorbers, you have precise grip, handling and dynamics for a perfectly balanced ride that is in a league of its own.

Built to excel in all conditions An average shock absorber has fixed predetermined damping settings, not ideal for either comfort or safety as damping forces are unable to change as driving conditions change.

In contrast, BOGE shock absorbers enhance vehicles with variable damping systems by automatically adjusting to the actual driving situation.

Influencing performance and comfort The shock absorber mounting (suspension strut support bearing) is the upper attachment/pivotal point between the shock absorber and chassis. This has to face many challenges, such as adverse weather conditions, which is why it is classed as a ‘wear and tear’ part.

A BOGE shock absorber mounting provides the strength and performance to support vehicle weight, enables reliable steering of the spring strut and prevents the penetration of vibrations and noises into the chassis. Most important of all, it enables better tire-to-road contact and reduced braking distance for maximum safety.

By calibrating the characteristic curve the driving performance and comfort can be strongly influenced.

So, by adding our mountings when you fit a BOGE shock absorber, you can improve steering, comfort and safety – and give the class of service that wins more business and secures high customer satisfaction.

Long lasting performance To deliver an exceptional performance for your customer’s vehicle you need to be well prepared. Our service kits give you an advanced level of accessories that enable you to prepare the shock absorber for the challenges it will face every day on the road. Each service kit consists of impact stop and bellows and/or tubular cable protection. These wrap the piston rod for the long-term protection of the shock absorber, giving your customer exceptional shock absorber performance and service life.

BOGE service kits enable you to excel. The protection we offer for our shock absorbers enables you to deliver the best performance for your customer’s vehicle.
