The Boge range includes several series of shock absorbers. All shock absorbers are manufactured using a number of technologies. Firstly, all rods are induction hardened, chromed and micropolished. Secondly, the rod seals are specially shaped to reduce friction and have good high-temperature resistance characteristics. Thirdly, oil is used inside the shock absorbers which does not change its characteristics depending on temperature changes. Fourthly, the shape of the shock absorber valves and the materials used reduce wear characteristics and ensure stable damping force. The Automatic series is a replica of the shock absorbers that are installed on your car at the factory. They are available in both gas and hydraulic (i.e. oil) versions. They have different designs that are required for each specific model of car. They provide a comfortable ride, and their affordable price makes them very popular. Automatic hydraulic shock absorbers are designed for comfort fans and provide reliable damping on all road surfaces. In turn, gas shock absorbers are more suitable for those who like speed and control. Also the gas shock absorbers can be both two-tube and single-tube. Turbo series has a telling name. These are exclusively gas shock absorbers for those car owners who want to make their car more "charged". Can be made both with an extra side channel that changes the stiffness, and in a variant with more efficient performance settings. They can be single-tube or dual-tube. The Turbo 24 series used to be called the Extreme. This series features shock absorbers that can be installed on SUVs and sports cars. You can adjust them yourself by changing the position of the spring plate. Or use shock absorbers with a self-tuning spring element. The latter can react to the load by changing their own position.

Built to excel in all conditions An average shock absorber has fixed predetermined damping settings, not ideal for either comfort or safety as damping forces are unable to change as driving conditions change.

Influencing performance and comfort The shock absorber mounting (suspension strut support bearing) is the upper attachment/pivotal point between the shock absorber and chassis. This has to face many challenges, such as adverse weather conditions, which is why it is classed as a ‘wear and tear’ part.
