In 1949, when the future DENSO Corporation was separated into a separate company from the structure of Toyota, it was called Nippon DENSO, which means "Japanese electrical parts". Initially, the manufacturer was engaged in the development of radiators, generators, starters and distribution systems. In 1996, the business received the current name DENSO, because it has long gone beyond the range of only electrical and only Japanese parts.
