INA started out as a wood products company. In 1949, the company began production of needle bearings, focusing on the demand, which at that time was driven by the resurgent automotive and mechanical engineering industries. Later, the production of ball and roller cylindrical bearings was mastered, however, it is the needle bearings of the INA brand that are known all over the world. The main office is located in Herzogenaurach, Central Franconia. INA has 40 factories around the world. The number of employees is about 28 thousand people, of which 7 thousand are employees of the main office. The company operates in the following areas: production of roller bearings, production of guidance systems, components for automobile engines. INA spare parts are made from high-quality materials, therefore they have excellent quality and have a long service life. Today, INA owns FAG (a manufacturer of anti-friction bearings), with the help of which it has become the second largest manufacturer of bearings in the world.
