The ZIC brand is owned by South Korea's SK Energy Corporation, the largest energy and petrochemical company in the Asia-Pacific region. SK Corporation, founded in 1964, supplies products under the ZIC trademark to 31 countries of the world. ZIC oils have been on sale since 1998 in Ukraine, today ZIC is sold in 11 CIS countries. ZIC motor oils are supplied to the assembly plants of KIA and Hyundai in Korea, the USA, India, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and since 2010 - to the Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg and to the KIA plant in Kaliningrad. Plus, since 2009, ZIC Dexron VI gear oils have been supplied to more than 30 GM plants in the US, Canada and Mexico. A confirmation of the highest quality of ZIC is the fact that ZIC YUBASE base oils are purchased by many well-known manufacturers of lubricants and used to produce their own commercial oils.
