The IRIDIUM IX range of iridium spark plugs is an efficient alternative to standard nickel spark plugs for the modern car. The use of iridium made it possible to significantly increase the service life compared to traditional nickel spark plugs - the service life of Iridium IX plugs can reach 80 thousand km. The tip of the central electrode is made of iridium alloy and laser welded using a special technology. In addition to the iridium center electrode tip, these spark plugs have a tapered side electrode for improved ignition efficiency.
