The Elf brand has existed since 1967 and is today a part of the French energy company Total Energies. In 2000, Elf Aquitaine merged with TotalFina, forming TotalFinaElf, which was renamed Total in 2003, and TotalEnergies in 2021. Since then, Elf has been one of the main brands of TotalEnergies, alongside Total.
Elf offers motor oils, lubricants, and technical fluids for cars, motorcycles, commercial and special machinery, as well as other vehicles. The extensive range of Elf products is constantly expanding and optimized to meet the growing needs of various engines and units, providing them with protection against wear, corrosion, and oxidation.
Elf actively participates in motor sports, promoting its products through car and motorcycle racing. Participation in these competitions not only demonstrates the quality of the products but also highlights that the characteristics of these oils are effective even in challenging conditions. It was in car racing that Elf began collaborating with Renault. Since then, Elf oil has been used for the first fill in Renault (and Dacia) vehicles. However, this does not mean that these oils are only suitable for "French" cars. A wide range of products has been developed for engines of most vehicles, and these oils should be selected according to the approvals and specifications of the manufacturers.
Today, Elf remains one of the global leaders in the production of motor oils, maintaining its reputation as a reliable and innovative brand in the automotive industry.
